About me
Hello, my name is Emma and I offer individual psychotherapy (sometimes called talk therapy) for adults. I believe psychotherapy has the means to provide good mental health care, and can help you understand yourself better, and with that understanding make proactive and positive changes to your life.
There is no one size fits all approach to life’s problems, however I do believe there is a way of being in the world and navigating what life brings to you, that is authentic and true to you, and only you. It is in finding this path that you can truly experience all that life has to offer. Together we will explore what it means to live in this world as you, taking into consideration your past experiences, present circumstances, and the social and cultural impact of your world on you.

Areas of special interest
I offer expertise in dealing with issues around sex and sexuality, in particular working with your embodied experience. This is also the focus of my doctoral research.
I have many years of experience exploring the therapeutic application of psychedelics. Psychedelics have huge potential for personal transformation, growth and wellbeing. I am passionate about contributing to a future where clients have the option to access safe and legal psychedelic therapeutic support.
I have over a decades worth of experience in health care supporting individuals with chronic conditions and providing palliative care.
I am a woman of mixed heritage. Growing up that came with complexities I remember feeling were not fully understood by those around me. It was years before I managed to unpick what the mixed-race experience meant for me. As I grappled with this, it gave me insight into multiple worlds growing up in the UK. With this, I developed a passion for travel to see, experience and soak up as many ways of being in the world and it is this same inquisitive passion I bring into the therapy room as we navigate your experience in the world together.
I am also a parent, and while it does not define me, it has shaped who I am. Parenting has it rewards and hardships, and I welcome those who take on this role in any capacity to explore and express it all! Lets explore the highs and the lows of being a parent/caregiver, and the highs and lows, grief, and internal conflict that might arise due to not being a parent/caregiver, whether by choice or circumstance.
